About us
Safe homes. Clear routines. Real outcomes. We support young people aged 16+ to build independence with dignity and purpose.
Our story & purpose
Valiant Homes provides safe, structured supported accommodation in Bournemouth and the surrounding area. Our goal is simple: to offer calm, well‑managed homes and purposeful day‑to‑day support that helps young people progress—at college, at work, and in life.
We operate with a trauma‑informed mindset and a practical, no‑nonsense approach. Every young person has a clear plan, consistent routines, and adults who do what they say they will do.
How we work
- Individual plans: meaningful goals, weekly key‑work, and simple progress tracking.
- Structure: daily routines around sleep, meals, education/employment, and house responsibilities.
- EET focus: links to ESOL/college, employability support, and practical prep for interviews.
- Life skills: budgeting, cooking, hygiene, appointments, travel, tenancy sustainment, community integration.
- Safety first: lockable rooms, H&S checks, safeguarding pathways, and proportionate boundaries.
- 24/7 cover: on‑call at all times; waking nights where required by package.
Regulatory framework & rights
Our model aligns to the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and national guidance for 16+ semi‑independent provision. We emphasise young people’s rights, voice, and participation, with transparent complaints and escalation routes.
Outcomes & quality assurance
- Measurable progress against independence skills and placement objectives.
- Attendance/engagement tracking for education, training, and work.
- Regular reviews with social workers and professionals; crisp, timely reports.
- Simple KPIs for safety, engagement, and move‑on readiness.
Referral & onboarding
We accept referrals from Local Authorities and partners. We complete impact/risk screening, match to the right house, agree the support hours and reporting, and then welcome the young person with a calm, consistent start.
